This pedal is small, yet does so much to your playing dynamics and adds so much smoothness, control and extra feel. It beats my Keeley by a mile. Always found the Keeley made everything sound thinner with too much high end, so wanted to try something different without busting the bank. 2 knobs that are simple to use and the attack adds some grit but just enough and without coloring the sound. Your sound doesn’t change, it actually thickens it and in a very good way. And very quiet. I’m blown away. Not sure what took me so long to try an MXR Dynacomp. Look no further.Just get it. You won’t be disappointed.

A great pedal. Quality compression, and can be used as a great way to get some sustain out of your distortion.I have unfortunately not been able to use the attack knob effectively as it seems to just make my sound distorted. Even if other pedals are off or if I use it outside of the chain.Perhaps I am unable to hear the dif in sound otherwise. But its a shame, and the reason for only 4 stars.Ive tried other pedals in the past where I could change the attack and it worked nicely. Cant seem to figure it out with this pedal.And there are not many videos online that show it.That being said, MXR/dunlop is great and has a very responsive Customer support team so I shall be contacting them for some help.Bottom line though, it does the things I need it for, high quality and except for the attack knob, everything else is very straight forward and easy to use and tweak to your liking

Absolutely awesome pedal,I won't name my old compressor but it is OK but this mxr is brilliant well worh the money, instead of buying budget pedals,just spend a bit extra and go for quality,over cheap affordability, that's my take anyhow "Nuff said"

This pedal is really subtle but the amount of noise it took away from my other pedals was super noticeable, worth the money just for that.

I play guitar for over 40 years. I've been using a Boss CS2 on my set since the mid '80s and it is excellent. Recently, I decided to put together a second, smaller pedal board, only with mini pedals and I got this little wonder. I could not be happier. I use a lot of clean tones and this is perfect. It works really well to push my Timmy mini as well. The attack button is like having a second compressor and both modes sound fantastic. I couldn't be happier. It's marvelous! You can't go wrong with this.

Performs especially well with distortion, great rock compression pedal. This compressor sounds significantly better than the regular sized, modern MXR Dyna Comp pedals - the special chip inside this model makes a world of difference. This pedal is now in my main rig - I use this at the beginning of my pedal chain, then it goes tube screamer > subdecay distortion > noise gate > delay > buffer pedal through a 1978/79 Music Man RD 112 One Hundred.

Excellent pedal. Does what is supposed to do. I really appreciate that it takes up little Realestate on my board and that it’s really versatile for different genres of music.
