I love that it folds up and I can fit in in with my music stamd and mic stand carry bag. The extending feet and top make it very sturdy for all my guitars from an acoustic to a hollow body and even my Les Paul and Strat. We'll see how long it lasts but right now I'm quite pleased will probably get at least one more.

I've ordered an number these guitar stands over the past few years. This was a re-order of the last one purchased which was originally from Amazon. When I click on the Re-order button, I expect the same product from the same supplier, otherwise it is not a re-order. This is not what I got.I have a couple of issues with this order:1) Because this was a re-order, I foolishly assumed it was the same as the last order, I failed to notice that this item was from Australia and that I was charged 6 bucks shipping (I'm a Prime member...the last time I ordered this item it was free shipping). This was NOT a re-order. I would never have knowingly ordered this item. But, buyer beware I suppose. When dealing with companies that have shoddy business practices you can't assume anything. My bad.2. The stand is not the same as the previous one. The new one is not nearly as good as the previous one. On the previous one, the back feet telescope out to provide greater stability (especially on carpet) against back-tipping; the legs extend up to provide greater support for taller, heavier instruments, and, lastly, the front retainer tabs pivot side to side to allow more compact collapsing for storage and transport.The new one only has one adjustment: the foot bars only slide back and forth so you only have support in the front OR in the back but not both. If you place a jumbo sized guitar in the stand you have to adjust the bars forward to accommodate the deep body. This means that there is reduced support in the back making the stand prone to back tipping, especially on a carpeted floor. Not good!!I would return this item if it were Amazon supplied, but I doubt I'm going to be able to easily (or freely) ship it back to Australia so I'm pretty much stuck with it.I'm pretty miffed at Amazon for this. They are responsible for their online interface. When you put a "Re-order" button on the screen any reasonable person will automatically assume that means they will get the same item from the same supplier. This is not the case. Amazon arbitrarily chooses a similar products from whatever supplier they choose and they don't inform you that this substitution was done. This is a terrible business practice. Very dishonest.By the way, item picture still shows the original stand, not the new one being supplied now. Wow!

Be careful because there is 2 version of this support. The first one I received had the legs of the base that could be extended behind. However, the main support could not move further back, it was only the base that could extend, so the space between the back plate and the front stoppers was very narrow.With this one, the base has a fixed length, and it's the main vertical support that moves from front to back. So it's possible to have more space between the back plate and the front stoppers. This worked great for my handpan because handpans are huge instruments and they need room.With this model, I have more than enough room to put my handpan and have it rest on the back plate. I had to put some padding on the back support because the bottom of my handpan was resting on it and the little padding at the top was aligned with the bottom hole of my handpan. With the padding it's perfect and convenient for displaying my handplan on a desktop.Just be aware that what you get is not necessarily what you see. The one bought from Amazon was as the description, but from the marketplace seller, it was different. I am glad that this one worked better for me but it might not be true for everyone. My handpan is a large one, 22 inches. It fit and feels solid on this support. I also like that there are some rubber threads on the base at the front to help pad better, and the front stoppers work well to prevent the pan from sliding. I would give it 5 stars, but I removed one because it's not according to the description on the listing.

This was exactly what I was looking for for my bandura (Ukrainian folk instrument). It's easy to use, small and light weight but it's also sturdy enough to support the heavy instrument and is generic enough that it suits the shape. Many guitar stands only accommodate the width and shape of a guitar, but this one works very well for other instruments.
