Bought this to fix my Xbox, the solder iron does work great but the blower…. It does not get hot enough to solder while set to max 500. After 5 mins of heating, solder is solid. I assume the temp is wrong and maybe adding another 200 would make it melt.

I like the cool down option on the blower,

I was worried about other reviews listed showing quality control problems but I took the chance anyways. Price is very good for what you get. I'm not a professional but my old soldering iron was from Radioshack back in the late 80s and I figured it was time for an upgrade. Both guns heat up really fast and melt the included solder. Included tweezers are nothing special but the rest of the kit is solid.

I love it. The build quality feels cheap and I can't speak on wether it's safe to use at the highest temperature settings but I wasn't expecting that at this price point. It heats up fast and works great for quick jobs

Ended up returning it after I couldn’t figure out how to work it

First off, it doesn’t work. Hot air station maxed out 500 C barely gets hot enough to replace a 3x3mm USB C power controller chip. Plus it maxes out at 500 C where through out the listing says both 500 and 600 C so I don’t even think they know what they’re trying to sell.I also measured the chip temperature with a thermal probe and it barely gets up to 400c after holding the smallest tip almost directly on the chip.Next issue is the soldering iron, whatever coating they used on the tips is horrible, solder doesn’t stick to it at all, I had to scuff them up with a burillo pad and it finally melted solder to the tip. But you can’t even use it, maxed out at 500c, it couldn’t even solder on a laptop charge port. As soon as the tip touches the charge port anchor, the solder instantly cools down and doesn’t flow at all, to the point where the soldering iron actually got stuck to it briefly cause it cooled down the entire unit together.I don’t think the specs are anything close to what they say. Under extreme instances the hot air was barely able to hit 400 C after nearly a minute of direct contact. And the soldering job I did was completed using a better quality 300 C soldering iron, so the one included with this is likely around 150-200c when the display on the unit is falsely reading 500 C for both. This is essentially e-waste. You can’t use this for any actual work at all. Description is wrong, specs are wrong, seller doesn’t even know what they’re trying to sell, can’t be used for anything. Just find anything else and it’s going to be an improvement over this.

For the money it's ok I guess. Heatgun works ok, solder iron heats quick but solder doesn't stick to the tips. I'm gonna see if I can find other tips for it.

This iron was a big surprise. It heats really fast and does a way better job that anything I've used before. It looks and feels like a much more expensive workstataion.

I bought this mainly for its portability. As you can see in the first photo, my work station consists of larger equipment and it is difficult to remove a piece of equipment if I need it somewhere else. Therefore, I purchased this unit as a portable one that can be easily transported to a job away from my workbench. It is lightweight and small enough to be packed into my carrying case.Controls are simple and functional. It also uses the same style of soldering tips as my other equipment so that's a bonus for myself. I don't need to stock multiple types of tips. The hot air unit has a snap in fit to the base and if snapped in there is a sensor that will put it to sleep and cool it down. If you rest it lightly on the base, it stays hot.It is possible to place the hot air unit so that it faces towards you and that can be convenient when I need to use it hands free. Of course, be careful not to burn yourself if you do that. All in all, I really like this small soldering station. I'm glad I bought it and will be using it often. Will it last as many years as my other equipment? Only time will tell. But for now, thumbs up!

The hot air gun works well. The soldering iron does not. I will probably throw this in the e-waste once I find a better soldering iron. There is NOTHING worse than a soldering iron that doesn't get hot enough, even when you turn the heat all the way up.

I bought this rework station to fix my SUV’s stereo amp, and it worked! Looks good and worked as advertised. Hoping it lasts. Going to try it again to fix another amp.
