I got this for my son for his precision soldering on his electronics projects and he loves it. The base is heavy enough it prevents tipping. The flexible arms stay where you put them, which is essential for this type of work. Magnets are strong enough. Overall a very smart purchase. I had accidentally put two sets in my cart when ordering, but my son is glad I did- he wanted to keep both.

I've owns a lot of two or three clamp helping hands, but eventually they all have flaws. This one, despite its bulky size, is perfect. I can gently but firmly clamp my electronics from odd angles why I solder them and it holds steady thanks to the heavy base. Would definitely recommend.

This is a great product. The arms are stiff enough, each. The alligator clips are threaded & lock in any orientation. Double or triple up on arms if you're soldering with a lot of pressure.The metal base if hefty, the magnets are strong, the package included 2 extra clips as well as 4 extra rubber feet. I truly felt like this came from a N. American factory, as the quality is exponentially greater than a Chinese variant and, the company displayed generosity.I'm looking very forward to using it.

Surprizing quality, in my opinion. Base is heavy powder-coated steel, which will accept DIY magnetic board supports etc. Good quality rubber feet keep the unit in place on your workbench. The arms are made of flexible steel conduit which I find is superior to the segmented plastic ones. The alligator clips are very good quality and not flimsy nor easily bent or deformed, and are threaded onto the arms with good quality knurled nuts to lock them in the desired attitude. Bonus: the seller ships 2 extra alligator clips and several extra plastic socks for the jaws! Nice to see a quality product like this!

Good value, the base is heavy enough for my work and the magnets are strong enough. The goose-necks are stiff and support the weight of the items I use. If there was something, I would have preferred a slightly larger base, a couple of inches more in each dimension would have made it perfect.

The heatshrink wrapped around the clips was stuck together on some of the pieces. While trying to open the clip, this caused it to bend and break. Luckily an extra arm was included. Some of the other clips had the heatshrink stuck together too, but I ran them under water and they eventually came loose. The metal on the clips is pretty thin and definitely not the best quality but it does the job. The cutters it comes with are garbage quality and came greasy (gross).Overall decent purchase and does the job, but quality isn't the best (to no surprise).Pros:- Good price, came with extra arm.- Each arm holds a surprising amount of weight.- Base has a good weight to it.Cons:- Some of the heat shrink on the clips is stuck together. Work it loose carefully or you'll break the clip!- Cutters it comes with are garbage quality and are full of grease.

I haven't used it for any of my major electronics projects yet, but it seems pretty easy to handle so far.I've gone through two traditional helping hands with magnifying glasses already and I hated using them for the reason that they always broke easily due to a fundamental flaw in design. These ones seem to hold up pretty well and are pretty adjustable unlike what I've been used to.The plastic is on the cheap side, but I really don't care as long as it is stable and works just fine. There's a cutter also included as a bonus, but I wouldn't expect much from it.
