This is the second time I've bought these and the first two were fine but the last set has been less then stellar. Fit and finish is still good but the issue I've been having is that the unlock/lock buttons are intermittent. As some other reviewers have pointed out they've had to slam the key fob against a hard object which tells me that the circuit board inside, that came from the previous fob is shifting. No matter how hard you press on the buttons, you can't make contact reliably. What I did to resolve the issue is to use 3x5 card stock, two layers right behind the circuit board directly under the switch pads, close the case down and the problem, at least for my unit has been resolved. You can disassemble the case with an X-Acto knife and lightly twist the chrome side clasps apart with the wide section of the blade. Once in, it's an easy 30 second job to insert the paper. I used DeOxit and contact cleaner prior to this and that didn't fix the issue but the paper does. It tells me that there may be some variation in the circuit board stack up depending on the switch vendor that the company that reverse engineered the case didn't consider or even know about. Hard to say but two little paper shims make this fob work now.

Only fallback is the buttons are very stiff compared to OEM.

Purchased to replace key fobs where the images were no longer visible. These were easy to open and easy to install the circuit board portion but it was difficult to get the battery inserted into the battery section, I had to remove a clip and then fit it back in place after the battery was installed. The product did not come with any installation instructions to explain if there was a better way to install it.

So I got this for my 2016 Colorado. It works as it should yet there is one thing I don’t like about it. There is no click when you push on the lock, unlock, or even the remote start. It’s very still, for lack of a better term. It works and does the job and is a good replacement for the original, I just miss the click.

Go to your dealership for a new fob and you're looking at a lot of money. This replacement went fairly smoothly, with some very helpful youtube videos. Love the end result, with the only difference I can tell is no GM symbol on the back side. For the money, I can certainly live with that.

The hardest part was removing the silver ends off the old fob but was really easy to reassemble
