This soldering mat provides a decent workspace and is great for organizing small components. However, it’s thinner than expected, which affects its heat resistance. It still offers some protection, but a thicker option would be more durable and effective for high-heat projects.

This is Amy second silicone soldering mat, I love working on these for part disassembly, model making, and of course soldering. This one is thinner than the other I have - which makes it more flexible, but also a little worrisome for heat transfer and longevity. Holding up ok so far though, and there is more workspace on this one than my other one, so pros and cons. Solid value for the price overall.

After reading other reviews, it turns out that this is not anti-static, so it's not suitable for electronics projects, but it's a nice smooth surface that will be useful for other projects, like arts/crafts, I'm thinking it would be great for jewellery and beadwork projects because of the compartments, you could set beads and small jewellery components in the compartments and use them as needed.

Great product in principle…received with bubble of silicone preventing it from laying flat. Hoping replacement is free of manufacturing flaw.UPDATE: Received replacement…this one is flawless. Much happier with it.

This soldering mat is very solid; it has space for the majority of the tools I use. I feel way more comfortable while I'm working using this to protect my desk instead of relying on a cheap silicone mat I had.It is quite nice and convenient with all the spots it gives for tools and bits.I recommend it.

Size is great, doesn't take up too much space on my desk/workbench.The spots for screws has been a nice addition, and the part section is perfectly sized for iPod parts.I have been using this mainly for my iPod repairs, and it's been excellent, the few times I had to solder and got flux on the mat, it just came right off.It does pickup some dust, especially from older iPods I open, but I can just wipe and wait for it to dry fully.Another small gripe is that it is not specifically anti-static but with what I do with it so far, it's not been an issue.Overall, it's been very nice to have an all-in-one solution for my repair work.

This is quite a decently sized work mat, it's more than enough for almost all the sizes of boards I work on and it has more than enough space for all the screws that will undoubtedly fill up the top of the mat.I do have limited office space, so my standard desk doubles as my repair desk, so having it be so easily foldable is a big plus.Cleaning it is also really easy too, occasionally I'll even get the odd solder splatter and it just peels off with my nail pretty effortlessly.Overall it is a pretty useful mat for electronics repair or really any solder work, I would gladly recommend it
