  • CHILD-SAFE AND TAMPER-RESISTANT – The spring-loaded design can be installed at a higher level, to ensure it is child-safe. Plus, while locked, this tamper-resistant door latch protects against the door being kicked in, lock picking and bumping.
  • PRE-DRILLING – The included 3 inch security screws require holes to be pre-drilled with 1/8 inch drill bit. Do not use a drill driver with max torque setting to install the 3 inch screws as you can strip or break the heads. Some doors may require mortising. Additional mortising may be required to fit your door.

It product works awesome. I installed it for more security and also to keep my mother-in-law from wondering away at night.I did not use the screw it came with as I wanted 3" screws into the door frame.Keeps the door solid.

They are very large for a door and require screws into the boards of the door so not renter friendly. I did like the value. I did not like the packaging. The screws are not very good for this product.

Used this to keep little hands out of the pantry, works great, quick install (you’ll need a couple tools though) and it’s easy to latch/unlatch for the adults
