- Make sure your original remote the same as the picture shows, and check the number on the back of your original remote, it need has FCCID/Model: FAN-HD L3H2010FANHD L3H2014FANHD HD5 RR7079T CHQ8BT7078T CHQ7078T UC7078T.
- These models of remote controls are working on the same frequency and have the same function.
- If this replacement works on a different frequency than your original remote control, it can not replace your original remote even they looks very similar.
- Please make sure the FCC ID/Model of your original remote control is suitable before purchasing.
Easy to Install
It was easy to program to ceiling fan.
1. Just set the 4 on/off switches the same as your existing remote, install a 9V battery and it's done. Remote control's 4 DIP switches are in the battery compartment (they are hidden behind the slot for the battery itself).It works and all circuit components are located on the back of the circuit board,you just can't see it until you take it apart.
2. If the old fan remote is lost, you will need to set the frequency of the transmitter to match the receiver inside the fan. Then, replace the batteries in the new remote and it will be ready for use.
Fan Speed Control with Light Dimmer
- This remote have 5 buttons, 3-Speed (HI/MED/LO) and OFF for fan speed control, Light Dimmer for dimming control.
- Light dimmer just controls the brightness of the incandescent lights and dimmable LED lamps.
- Most LED lights and all CFL lights are Not Dimmable, and the remote only control the On/Off in that case.

I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan with light. the description says it should be able to control it. It does not. and i tried all 16 possible dip switch settings, twice, and bought a new battery. Very disappointed. i wasted my money. Unless you know the EXACT make and model number of your ceiling fan, i would NOT recommend that you buy this remote.
