The flexible arms hold components securely, making delicate work so much easier. The 3X magnifying glass provides a clear view, and the sturdy base ensures stability. Whether for electronics repair or DIY projects, this tool is a must-have.

Waste of money and regret not reading reviews before hand. All hardware was included, but 3 out of the 5 screws do not secure arms, so I basically paid just to throw the into the garbage. Do your research and buy ANYTHING other than this.

Magnifier edge was not sanded smooth, very rough, got a cut on it. I used a Dremel tool to smooth the edge.

I’ve been using this helping hand station for a little while, and it’s working great for me. It comes with 4 hands, as well as 1 magnifying glass, which is good. It’s also made entirely of metal, and is pretty durable if you drop it.Here’s what I like bout this soldering iron station:-It holds things well-It has a removeable plate (in case solder rolls off whatever you’re soldering)-The magnifying glass works pretty well-It’s pretty adjustable-It’s all metal (with the exception of the feet, which are rubber for grip)-the alligator clips come with heat shrink already on them-arms were pre-assembled-decent price-Looks “professional”-Feels well madeHere’s what I don’t like about this soldering iron station:-It’s not easy to store away-The arms sometimes make “popping” sounds-I would’ve liked a light with it-Can be a little difficult to put it together.-Can be sort of hard to get arms to stay in place. It doesn’t do extreme angles very well-The rim of the magnifying glass can be sort of sharpThe biggest complaint I have is how big it is. What I mean by this isn’t necessarily width or depth wise, but rather just it’s pure volume. Unless you have a dedicated place to solder things, this can be really hard to store away. I personally have no idea how I’m going to store it.Something else I’d like to mention is that you may want to re-heatshrink the alligator clips. They come heatshrinked already, but if you’re soldering softer boards, there still is a chance that they’ll damage the board.Overall though, I think it does what it intends to do, and that’s enough for me. If you’ve never used helping hands before, I think this is a good place to start, if you want something decently cheap, that has a magnifying glass. It’s currently $33, which I think is a good price.
