Great replacement key shell! It fit perfectly, and everything snapped into place with ease. Our original shell had cracked, causing the key to keep falling out. The dealership wanted $200 to replace it, citing the need for cutting and reprogramming the sensor.Based on a recommendation, I purchased this shell, transferred the small internal board from the broken shell, and inserted the key—super simple! The key itself is just a basic metal piece, separate from the internal electronics, making the swap hassle-free.Definitely recommend.... saved a lot of time, money doing this my self.

I used these to fix my friend’s broken key fob. They were extremely difficult to get together, they didn’t line up properly. With a lot of force and super glue, they have stayed together for over 8 months now without problems.

Quite impressed with the design. Allows me to use the original electronics AND the existing cut key.Unit was built well and allowed for easy transfer of the old electronics and key.I have a spouse who is hell on key fobs. This solves the problem as its quick, easy to install and works well. Quality was as good or better than the original oem (Honda Pilot) key fob.

Easily installed, and a heck of a lot cheaper than a new fob. But the plastic feels brittle and the snap-fit is not terribly tight. Good thing it's a 2-pack.

I can see where this would have worked but it came with a front piece, screwdriver, a screw and a little piece that holds the key.....no back piece. I was able to use the back from my old key which fits a bit loosely but a small piece of duct tape holds it in place. Overall, it "could" have been great if all the pieces were there and I didn't bother sending it back as I had used what I had to patch it all together.

This is the second time i bought the case. The first one did not fit but just realized there is a way to do it. Please check the side of the small plastic that holds the key, this will be inserted on the main plastic key holder and will lock once inserted properly.

I've tried a lot of replacement shells, all of them have been cheap, and broken within months. This is the first real replacement that I feel is higher quality. Fits like a glove, does exactly what it needs to.

My 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid Key had been repaired one time too many over the years. The plastic had become so brittle that I could not repair it again. I was quite pleased to find this kit. I frankly did not know it existed but when I searched to replace the battery in my key, this popped up as well. After reading the negative reviews about it having a frail plastic, I almost did not order it. I am glad I took the risk. I have only two minor issues about these kits. First, the instructions were not very detailed. However, they were adequate enough for me to figure it out. Second, the key does not have the Honda Emblem. This is probably a trademark issue but it would have been nice if it had one. If it would have had a properly sized invention for the logo, I would have tried to remove the one on my old key but the lack of a logo is not that significant. It was not that difficult to disassemble my old key into the outer case. There are three parts. First, is the old outer case, Next the key blank with the back plastic tip screwed on. Finally the buttons and transponder metal tag. While I had the guts removed, I replaced the battery. It was a little tricky but not too difficult. It is important to keep that inner part with the buttons intact and be sure to keep the metal transponder tag attached to it. Next I removed the old screw to my key and removed the old worn-out plastic end. Now I reversed the process by putting on the black sleeve on the key blank. Be sure to line it up correctly and to press it in far enough to expose the screw hole. Next take the new outer case and separate it into two halves. Place the key blank into the slot in the outer case that does not have the button holes. Next place the button pack and transponder into their proper orientation. Then snap the top half of the outer shel on tho the bottom half and insert and tighten the screw. Thankfully the kit comes with a screw since I promptly sent my old one flying into the carpet never to be seen again. Once assembled and screwed, the key looked and performed like the original. I am well pleased overall and rate it a five-star purchase.

So I think these Honda combination key and remote control fobs are notorious for breaking where the screw attaches to the remote and the key. Mine has been broken for about 5 years now and it just got to the point where when trying to turn the key the plastic remote control part would just twist open a bit. Well it finally just broke open and I was not able to keep the pieces together anymore. So looked on Amazon and found this one, inexpensive and lots of good ratings.Came in the mail 2 days later and easy to assemble. There was a part that holds everything together and it was extremely tight fit, but with enough pressure it held everything together. The only bad part is that the screw head when tightening up the key broke off. It is still holding together but just cheap chinese metal i guess. The plastic part is great. Just make sure to take the anti-theft part of your original key and put it inside the new key, or else your car will not stay on.

I ordered this 2 pack key fob shell replacement after one of my keys broke completely out of my key fob.The instructions that come with this replacement shell leave much to be desired but with a little common sense I was able to figure it out.The plastic sleeve that goes over the key I needed to push into place to get the holes to line up so I had to hold it with a pair of pliers and tab the key into placeThere are tabs on that sleeve that need to slide into grooves on the key fob body in order for it to fit together properly as wellAs for the transponder chip in my original shell there was a small tab on the side of the compartment and with a precision screwdriver set I popped the lid of that compartment and pried out the chip.I turned the chip sideways and used double sided foam mounting tape on the top and bottom of the chip to hold it in place insice the new fob shell and closed up the unitIt worked when I started up my Honda and I was not getting the no key error So I am very happy with this replacement partNow the key fob shell replacement is not the same heavy duty plastic as the original factory one but I feel at it's price point that is a minor detail $8 VS $350 to have Honda get you a replacementI definitely recommend this as a replacement
