For the money this thug is great: Easy to assemble, the magnets are strong, the magnifying glass lit and clear, the base heavy and sturdy, and for some reason it included two extra alligator-clips.

These are my favorite helping hands that I've bought so far. The magnets are really strong so things stay in place. I haven't had a chance to test the alligator clips yet but they look dependable. This kit is worth the price for me.

Recently got back into electronics and realized I needed a new "helping-hands" as my old traditional set had disintegrated. Plus the magnifying glass was tiny and the clips were scratchy and lacking full range articulation.This modern version is amazing in value, firstly because of the build quality which is quite robust as well as instantly adjustable and has enough weight to support itself without any fear of tipping over or being knocked off the bench by your cat.Having an LED lamp built into the underside of the relatively large magnifying glass is a huge bonus and a far cry from the traditional helping hands tool which required a lot of adjustment not only to the glass but your own neck a lot of the time.Easy, self-explanatory assembly, solid material, modern look and fast shipping.Probably one of the most useful tools I have invested in for a long time. Would recommend.

it’s almost like i have four more hands helping. the light never moves unless i move it. unlike my previous helper. (they’re currently in line at the unemployment office). the quality is unmatched the sturdiness of better than fine the size is easy to assemble. very functional. i even use it to help drain pesky carts that stop hitting. the grippy clips hold the ccell 510 threads just right for the transfer.
