I'm giving it 5 stars but it is not perfect. For me, perfect would be a stronger magnet... one that works give me confidence to drive with it attached when moving along the river.To be fair, I have not tried to drive with it on, but that is because I don't have confidence it will stay attached.All that said, it's hella convenient and, relative to other fishing knickknacks, not expensive.

Great for leaning rods up against the side of your truck if you use your trunk, truck tail gate for tackle . No accidental door crush .

A good, simple product that simply attaches to your vehicle side by a rubber protected magnet.Works great, I just take it out of the trunk first, prop my fishing pole up against it.. It has an inner rubber lining on each groove so it doesn't scratch the rod. Although probably not necessary, a solid plastic piece work work just fine, but it's great to have it on the rear quarter panel versus propping your rod up against your driver or passenger door mirror (And let alone, the fishing pole eating tailgate.. Any experienced fisherman has leaned a thing or two of rod tip repair cause of hungry tailgates)..
